Kouve – Terms of Use

Welcome to Kouve. By using our app, you agree to the following terms. Please read them carefully, as they include important information about your responsibilities and our focus-tracing features.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading or using Kouve, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
2. The Kouve Service
Kouve is a productivity tool designed to help you manage your time and focus through session tracking and app/website restriction ("Focus Tracing").
Permissions: To function, Kouve requires certain system permissions (such as Screen Time or Usage Access). By enabling these, you authorize Kouve to monitor and, where requested, restrict access to other applications on your device.
Accuracy: While we strive for precision, we cannot guarantee that focus tracing or analytics will be 100% accurate at all times due to OS limitations or device battery-saving modes.
3. User Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to provide accurate information and to update it as necessary.
4. Premium Subscriptions & Billing
Payments: Premium features are billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. All billing issues, refunds, and cancellations are handled by those platforms.
Renewals: Subscriptions typically renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
Modifications: We reserve the right to change our subscription tiers or pricing, but we will always notify you in advance.
5. Proper Use of the App
You agree not to:
Use Kouve for any illegal purposes or to bypass parental controls on a device you do not own.
Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disrupt the app’s focus-blocking mechanisms.
Use the app to harass or monitor others without their explicit consent.
6. Intellectual Property
All content, branding, logos, and software within Kouve are the exclusive property of Arctics Group. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive license to use the app for personal, non-commercial productivity purposes.
7. Limitation of Liability
Kouve is provided "as is." While we want to help you be your most productive self, Arctics Group is not responsible for:
Missed deadlines, lost profits, or any productivity loss resulting from the use or inability to use the app.
Technical failures that prevent the app from blocking distractions or tracking a session.
Any data loss resulting from device malfunctions.
8. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to Kouve if you violate these terms or engage in fraudulent activity. You may delete your account and stop using the app at any time.
9. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Arctics Group is registered, without regard to conflict of law principles.
10. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make a major change, we will notify you through the app. Your continued use of Kouve after an update constitutes your acceptance of the new terms.
