1. Welcome to Globia!
Globia is a fun app that helps you learn geography, brought to you by Arctics Group (SASU, SIREN 930 474 473, registered in Paris, France). These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern how you can use Globia. By downloading or using the app, you agree to follow these rules and our Privacy Policy.
2. Getting Started
Access: You can download Globia from the Apple App Store or Google Play.
Age: You need to be at least 15 years old to use Globia on your own. If you're under 15, a parent or legal guardian must give their consent before you use the app.
Consent: Using the app means you accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
3. Features and Subscriptions
Free: You get access to basic geography lessons and quizzes for free, using a system of 25 energy, which gradually refills over time.
Premium: Want more? A paid subscription unlocks extra lessons, maps, and quizzes, and gives you unlimited energy. Choose a weekly, monthly, or annual plan through the app stores.
Payments: All payments are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play — their billing terms apply.
4. Cancelling Subscriptions
You can cancel your subscription anytime in your Apple App Store or Google Play account settings. Because billing is handled by the stores, refunds are subject to their policies — we don't process refunds directly. Depending on your country (including EU consumer rights), you may have additional rights; those apply. Need help? Check the app or email us.
5. Cookies and Tracking
The Globia app uses tools like Firebase Analytics to understand how you're learning (for example, which countries you've mastered). If we run a Globia website, it may use cookies for basic analytics — you can manage these in your browser settings.
6. Acceptable Use
Globia is for everyone aged 15 and up (or younger with parental consent). We don't allow misuse such as cheating, spamming, reverse-engineering the app, or anything illegal. If you break these rules, we may suspend or terminate your access.
7. Your Data and Privacy
We collect some information (such as your email for sign-in or your quiz progress) to make Globia work. To learn what we collect and how we protect it, see our Privacy Policy in the app or on our website.
8. Our Responsibility
We work hard to keep Globia running smoothly, but we can't promise it'll be flawless 100% of the time. To the extent permitted by law, we're not liable for issues like app glitches, data loss, or interruptions — you use Globia at your own risk. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that can't be excluded under applicable law.
9. Updates to These Terms
We may update these Terms as Globia grows. We'll let you know through the app or our website. If you keep using Globia after changes take effect, that means you accept them.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by French law, and disputes fall under the jurisdiction of the French courts. If you're a consumer outside France, the mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence also apply.
